Live Updates

Coric 6-1 Zverev

Wow. I don’t think anyone could have expected the first set to be that one-sided. Coric concedes just the one game as he wraps it up in only 25 minutes of play. Remarkable.

Coric 5-1 Zverev

This is a desperate start for Zverev. He’s broken once more and Coric is running away with this. Zverev has looked entirely flat so far; he needs to fire himself up.

Coric 4-1 Zverev

Coric marches on, saving two break points to move 4-1 ahead as Zverev dejectedly walks back to his char at the switch.

Coric saved six match points last time out against Tsitsipas and showed great mental fortitude there once more.

Coric 3-1 Zverev

Well, that’s a horrific start for Zverev, who serves three double faults on the way to being broken early on. We know he struggles with immense nerves towards the latter stages of a major, and let’s hope he can overcome a bad start to make this competitive.

Coric 2-1 Zverev

Coric has made a confident start to the match, holding to 15 in his second service game to regain a slight lead.

Coric 1-1 Zverev

‘Anything you can do, I can do better,’ Zverev metaphorically says. He serves to a comfortable hold to level things at 1-1 early in the opening set.

Coric 1-0 Zverev

It’s a highly comfortable hold for Coric to start things off, as Zverev nets to hand the 26th seed the game to love.

Coric is 3-1 up against Zverev in the head-to-head standings. I wonder if that will play into things today.

Here we go!

The players are just finishing up their warm-ups and we’re about ready to go!

Up next: Coric vs Zverev

It’s now time for the Men’s side of the draw, where Zverev and Coric go head-to-head in a mouth-watering quarter-final match-up.

Zverev certainly comes in as the favourite, but will he be able to handle the pressure?

Brady wins

Brady 6-3 6-2 Putintseva

Brady had never beaten Putintseva before and never made it to a Grand Slam semi-final.

She’s put both of those records to bed, however, breezing through to the last-four with a comfortable straight-sets win.

The match lasted 1 hour 9 minutes in total – remarkably, that’s her longest match on route to the semi!

She’s got to be a real contender to lift the trophy!

Brady 6-3 4-2 Putintseva

As soon as Putintseva drags her way back into the set, Brady breaks once more. She’s now a set and 4-2 up, and she’s on the verge of a home US Open quarter-final. What a story!

Over on the Louis Armstrong court, Blinkova & Kudermetova have taken the opening set against Siegemund & Zvonareva 7-5!

They’re just one set away from the Women’s doubles final!

Brady 6-3 2-2 Putintseva

As I said, Putintseva is a real, real fighter. She breaks once more in the fourth game, and the pair are back level in the second set.

It looked like it could have been over in the blink of an eye – but there’s plenty left in this yet!

Brady 6-3 1-0 Putintseva

Brady has proved utterly relentless so far, and she moves a break up in the opening game of the second set. She’s in total control.

Brady 6-3 Putintseva

Brady takes the opening set and you’d have to say she really deserved that. She came out with impressive energy, looking to dictate from the off.

Both players were clinical, taking a combined three of three break point opportunities. However, it was the American who edged it out there.

Brady 5-2 Putintseva

Putintseva has somewhat clawed her way back into the game after Brady raced to a 4-0 lead in just 14 minutes.

Brady is still entirely on top, however, and is now just a game away from the first set.

Brady 4-1 Putintseva

Well, the breaks are continuing to flood in on the Arthur Ashe court. Putintseva – who is known for being a real fighter – claws back one of two required breaks.

Game on.

Brady 4-0 Putintseva

Well, Zverev might have to get warming up and soon! Brady is absolutely racing through this first set. It’s been going for 15 minutes…

Brady 2-0 Putintseva

Brady has looked utterly sensational throughout the tournament and starts lightening quick as she races into a 2-0 lead.

You feel this could be a difficult afternoon for Putintseva, who looks like she might get overpowered out there.

The quarter-finals are nearly underway!

Yulia Putintseva and Jennifer Brady are now on court, about to start their warm-ups.

They’ll be in action shortly, and we’ll provide you updates throughout.
