Brits considering a city break in Edinburgh will want to check out Travelodge ‘s latest sale.
The budget hotel chain has just slashed prices on stays at all of its Edinburgh hotels, with 35,000 rooms currently up for grabs for £29 or less per night.
The sale applies to stays until the 31st December 2020 so there’s a generous window to choose from – including the Christmas markets season in December too.
You can already book on the Travelodge website but it’s worth noting that the limited availability means you’ll want to get in quickly to bag the bargains.
There are plenty of different Edinburgh hotels from the brand – you can check out the full list at the end of this article – so it’s ideal whether you want to be in the city centre or prefer to be on the outskirts if you’re visiting friends or family.
The sale comes as the brand celebrated 30 years of trading in the Scottish capital, by commissioning a special mural at its Edinburgh Park hotel.
Artist Luke McDonnell created mural headboard art ‘Sleeping in Edinburgh’, inspired by some of the region’s iconic landmarks including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and Arthur’s Seat.
Luke McDonnell said: “I was thrilled to be commissioned to create the UK’s first hotel headboard art. To help bring Edinburgh into the room, I personally visited the nation’s top ten favourite city landmarks to attain a first-hand feel, as they are all so different and magnificent.
“I also spoke with locals and tourists and discovered so many incredible facts. I was touched by some of the stories, especially of Greyfriars Bobby, and the project came together very organically. I arranged the composition in pencil and used paints to create the collage, all betwixt a frame of flora and fauna inherent to the area.”
