Cheeky Gino D’Acampo tries to set up Family Fortunes contestant on a date with his son
Gino D’Acampo had fans in stitches tonight as he cheekily suggested a Family Fortunes contestant would be a good match for his son.
18-year-old Jessica appeared alongside her family, the Burgesses, Gino raising his eyebrows when she told him how old she was.
“18, wow,” he said, “Now, my son, Luciano…”
The audience started laughing before the celeb chef added: “I’ve got a son, Luciano, he’s 18 years old.”
When the crew pulled up a picture of father and son, Gino declared: “There he is! There he is!
“That was this summer in Sardinia. What do you think? He’s single…”
And Gino’s wing-manning skills proved worthy, Jessica blushing and telling him: “Well, I mean, if you wanted to set something up I wouldn’t not say yes.”
Gino looked chuffed with himself, having secured his son a date.
Viewers were loving it, one tweeting: “Gino trying to set his son up with the young daughter from the Burgess family I’m screaming #FamilyFortunes.”
Another wrote: “Gino is really keen to get his son that date #FamilyFortunes.”
Meanwhile, others were taken with Jessica’s knowledge, branding her the smartest of the family.
“Jessica needs to be in the final, she’s the smartest of the lot!” one gushed.
Another chimed in: ” #FamilyFortunes If they get to the end they really need to choose Jessica, she’s been on fire.”
Tonight’s was the fifth episode in the ten-episode run commissioned by ITV, a reboot of the classic and much-loved gameshow.
*Family Fortunes airs at 8pm on Sundays on ITV.
